GP Community Tourney
An Open Class Doubles Tournament for Guelph Pickleball & Darkhorse Dinkers Players
Ready to put your games to the test in the place you already know and love? The GP Community Tourney is an open class doubles tournament created for players who are already part of the Guelph Pickleball and Darkhorse Dinkers communities.
Whether you regularly book your own courts at GP, play in DHD coached clinics or leagues; this tournament is your chance to team up, compete, and enjoy a fun day of community pickleball.
You’re no stranger to the surface. You’re no stranger to the ball. You’re already a veteran of playing pickleball in the true spirit of the game: adaptable, competitive, social, and ready for anything.
Tournament Format
This is an Open Class Doubles Tournament.
Players can sign up with a partner in any doubles format:
Mixed Doubles / Women’s Doubles / Men’s Doubles
MF / FF / MM
Come with your favourite doubles partner to compete against other teams from the GP and DHD communities. Self rate for Skill level (DUPR guideline provided. NOT mandatory to have DUPR rating) in the registration fields.
Tournament specs including number of pools, divisions, and matchups will be decided based on the number of registrations. Once we know how many teams are signed up, we’ll create a format that gives players the best possible mix of competitive games, fair matchups, and a great tournament experience.
Who Can Register?
You are eligible to sign up if you are part of the Guelph Pickleball or Darkhorse Dinkers community.
That includes players who:
- Book courts at Guelph Pickleball
- Play in Darkhorse Dinkers coached clinics or leagues
This tournament is designed for players who already know the GP environment and want to enjoy a spirited day of competition with familiar faces and new matchups.
What to Expect
Expect competitive games, good rallies, and a whole lot of community energy.
We’re looking for players who bring:
Good attitude. Well-spirited competition. A smile with… a few killer shots too.
This is about showing up, playing hard, respecting the game, and having fun with the people who make this community what it is.
There will be prizes up for grabs, but the real win is getting the GP and DHD communities together for a tournament that feels competitive, welcoming, and full of great pickleball energy.
